What's the Job?

Support Workers are at the forefront of delivering quality support services in accordance with the individual care plans of people we support . In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks to support clients to live their lives their way and help them remain in their own homes. Tasks are established with each individual with the focus on people reaching their goals. Some of the duties within the role include domestic assistance, facilitating meal times, client movement and transport, personal hygiene assistance, communication support, assistance with recreational activities and high-needs personal care.

What do we need from you?

  • Availability to work varied shifts days and time (mornings and sleepovers)
  • Experience in or knowledge of active support and capacity building;
  • Fluent in a second language (i.e. Italian, Greek, Vietnamese, Serbian) would be highly valued
  • Creative, strength based approach to supports;
  • Clear commitment to person centred planning with a focus on quality and best practice;
  • Proficiency in using technology broadly, or the capacity to learn new technology and programs as required;
  • Ability to create supportive and professional working partnerships which encourages capacity building;
  • Flexible, resilient and adaptive;
  • Physically fit;
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS modules (for Disability Support Work); is essential
  • Current First Aid (with minimum 12 months left until expiry) and CPR Qualifications (with minimum 6 months until expiry);
  • A current and valid Driver’s License along with a reliable, insured and registered vehicle.

What would be great to have?

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Disability, Health or Community Care
