About the Position

This NDIS Finance Officer (SIL) is a bridge between the business and the Finance team to ensure; service funding is accounted for, NDIS regulations and pronouncements are analysed and complied, maintaining client accounts, preparing quotes and service agreements, processing claims and invoices, maintaining portal bookings. The role directly reports to the Business Analyst NDIS.

What we need from you:

• Degree qualification in accounting, finance, commerce or related area
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting/auditing/finance related role
• Strong administrative skills
• Intermediate competency in using Microsoft Excel
• Research skills to find information needed to guide decision making
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to gather and interpret data
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to engage with non-financial stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to all levels of an organisation
• Ability to work under minimum supervision, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to undertake non-routine/ administration tasks

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge and exposure to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Previous knowledge and experience using Technology One and AlayaCare
• Knowledge and experience working in a community based organisation/ Aged & Disability Services provider
