About The Role:

The primary objectives of the Local Trainer (Community Care) are to meet and exceed Aged Care Quality Standards, all regulatory compliance framework and customer perceived service quality within Community Care by:

  • Provide all new staff and volunteer an excellent onboarding experience
  • Quality analysis and reporting to facilitate evidence-based approach for best practices
  • Drive and create a learning culture for continuous improvement and self-development
  • Account for external accreditation/certification
  • Support workforce competency development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify the right mix of orientation program between online and face-to-face training to provide an excellent onboarding experience
  • Gather and analyse training data for actionable insights to improve learning experience and effectiveness
  • Identify, recommend and support the implementation of best practices as continuous improvement initiatives
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical training and education programs in accordance with education needs analysis and legislative training requirements
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to management and staff in personal development
  • Assist staff and volunteer with system and technology to partake effectively in online training
  • Work collaboratively with QRC and community service management team to ensure Aged Care Quality standards are being met in areas of staff education and training and quality assurance programs

Qualifications and Skills:

The successful candidates should possess but not limit to the following:

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration.
  • Solid understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, legislations and accreditation process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WH&S, EEO and anti-discrimination legislative requirements.
  • Fluent Cantonese and/or Mandarin and English with excellent presentation and report writing skills.
  • Current full driver’s license.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency.

Desirable:

  • Attained Certificate IV Trainer and Assessor qualification.
  • Prior experience evaluating and reviewing practice standards and procedures, assessment tools and care plans in aged care.
  • Computer literacy including knowledge and competency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience in working within a matrix team structure and culturally or linguistically diverse organisations.
