About the Position

MeNTor is an educational support service designed in the Northern Territory, to support children and young people in Out of Home Care, to participate in education that enables them to reach their full potential and maximise their life opportunities. MeNTor is a 2 - year pilot program managed by Anglicare NT, implemented in partnership with children, young people, carers, Department of Education and Territory Families Housing & Communities.

This position requires well developed collaboration and networking skills to ensure all services meet the child/young person’s needs, builds capacity of the target group and regional service system, and raises community awareness about the nature, extent and appropriate responses to children/young people involved with statutory and the education systems.

To be successful in this role we are looking for an individual with a Bachelor of Education; post graduate studies are desirable. A minimum of five (5) years - experience in a teaching role.

You will uphold the values of Anglicare NT and provide quality services within the scope of the position and associated delegations.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
