headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.
The Mental Health Practitioner will be responsible for providing early intervention clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions for young people with mild to moderate mental health issues and their families accessing headspace Katherine. You will work with the headspace team to deliver youth friendly, family inclusive, culturally appropriate services to young people aged 12-25.
The role will provide professional and effective therapeutic interventions and support services to young people and their families according to best practice standards. The position will provide clear referral pathways for young people to access internal and external services and maintain current data standards and clinical records in a timely and professional manner. The Mental Health Practitioner will support the work of other teams as necessary and conduct intakes and deliver community awareness, information sessions and group work as required.
The Mental Health Practitioner will participate in clinical supervision and consultation and will work well in a multidisciplinary team
