About the Program

Anglicare NT’s Housing Support Services assist people on their journey from homelessness to long-term, stable accommodation. Our dedicated staff offer case management, as well as mentoring, training and support for developing life skills and tenancy skills.

About the Opportunity

You will provide leadership in the development and effective management of Alice Springs Housing and Homelessness Services, related activities, and initiatives in the greater Alice Springs Region, seeking to reduce homelessness and provide sustainable tenancy support.

You will provide effective supervision and strengths-based practice guidance to team members and contribute to the organisation’s Housing and Homelessness stream.

Services will be culturally responsive, evidence-based, and focus on addressing crises, building capacity, and be delivered in accordance with statutory and contract requirements. You will undertake direct staff management, maintain contractual compliance, and contribute to risk management.

Central to this role is a genuine commitment to working inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally diverse individuals. You'll possess the sensitivity and insight to address issues affecting these communities, fostering meaningful engagement and communication.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in social work or related field with extensive experience in the community services sector in a management role.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, supervision and mentoring with interpersonal skills required to maintain a healthy, well-functioning multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing program budgets
  • Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organ
