About the Position

We are seeking experienced Financial Counsellors to provide financial counselling to people living in Darwin and across East Arnhem who may be struggling with financial debt. You will work collaboratively to assist individuals with financial difficulties by providing information and advocacy to assist people to improve their financial knowledge, skills and capacity to develop greater financial resilience. This rewarding role will assist people in developing new skills to effectively manage their lifestyles and develop greater understanding in how to make informed choices that will benefit both themselves and their families from a financial and social well-being perspective.

This role involves remote travel in small planes and 4WD driving and overnight stays in community.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Northern Territory Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
