About the Position

Anglicare NT are seeking Aboriginal Family Workers, based in Alice Springs. If you are passionate about working with children, young people and their families in the hopes of creating positive change and support you might be the person for this role.

The Aboriginal Family Worker will provide intensive support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high risk families with children and young people (0 - 18 years). This support will include empowering and building capacity of families through practical in-home support and child centred family focused casework.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working withChildren (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.

It is mandatory for certain workers in certain settings in the Northern Territory to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the NT’s Chief Health Officer’s direction. If you are wanting to work with us, you will be required to provide evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status.
