The Position

Keep Embracing our Success is a specialist Therapeutic Program in which a team of therapeutic Skills Coaches and other key professionals, such as Family Engagement Workers and Education Specialists provide individually tailored therapeutic programs such as HEAL and ERIC, to help young people develop skills and a positive personal vision and future goals, all the while, ensuring that their wellbeing and safety is maintained in a Residential Youth House.

Our KEYS program is like Therapeutic Residential Youth Care in many ways, with additional support and resources to provide a tailored, extensive therapeutic care model to young people with very complex support needs and tremendously traumatic backgrounds. Coming face to face with Pain Based behaviour and difficult situations is likely, making these roles some of the most challenging yet rewarding available.

About you

To be considered for work within our Specialist KEYS Program you must have worked with Young People in a Residential setting previously and have implemented Trauma Informed care and therapies.

You must also hold a:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care).

Or

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as Youth Work, Social Work or Community Services for example

We are also seeking those who have:

  • A commitment to the principles and practice of quality care in residential settings for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
  • The ability to work effectively with young people and to promote positive attributes and work towards planned change.
  • Flexibility, resilience and the ability to maintain best practice under challenging circumstances.
  • The ability to work effectively with a team to achieve program goals and objectives.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence, a Working with Children Check, First Aid Level 2 and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
