Your role:

The Future Pathways program is an innovative approach built on practice elements such as motivational interviewing, communication skills building and goal setting to respond to identified needs and achieve real and demonstrable outcomes.

Working collaboratively, the team seek to address key intersectionality issues with families, children and young people (e.g. substance use, mental illness, low income, social isolation) as identified by each regional FPR Response. 

About you:

  • Experience working with high needs complex families  
  • Using a child focused family-centred approach 
  • Understanding theoretical approaches (i.e., motivational interviewing and social inclusion) 
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions 
  • Experience conducting risk and needs assessments 
  • The ability to perform work outside of standard office hours to service the needs of clients 

Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology and/or related behavioural sciences at degree level with relevant experience; or diploma level with substantial experience

What you should know:

  • Salary $92,694- $94,749 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 6 SCHCADS) pro-rata to 0.8
  • Office location: Preston
  • Ongoing role
  • Part time hours 4 days per week, 0.8 which is 30.4 hours

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
