The P&C Team at AV

The People and culture team at AV support the whole organisation in the mission to do better for Vulnerable Children, Young People and Families. This support ranges from Employee Assistance and Payroll, Recruitment and HR, Health Safety and Wellbeing, Learning and Development as well as a host of other services to support the AV family of over almost 1,800 staff and 2,300 volunteers.

The Role

This role works within the Payroll team, is supported by an experienced and supportive manager, a friendly and collaborative team as well as a wider team of colleagues across P&C. The aim of the role is to provide fortnightly payroll processing, customer support, Employee Self Service Support and a range of other duties for a specific and defined cohort within AV, all with the ongoing support and collaboration of the rest of the team.

This role can be based from either Melbourne in our Collingwood office, or from Bendigo in our Bendigo office. Significant flexibility and options to work from home for a portion of the working week are also available now and into the future.

About you

  • Solid understanding of the applicable laws and regulations covering payroll, Tax, Super and Salary Packaging
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaborative communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a busy and dynamic program
  • Ability to manage high volume data processing and manage competing demands
  • An empathy with AV’s Values and Mission to do better for Children, Young People and Families
