What are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Men's Behaviour Change group facilitator to co-facilitate a group on Tuesdays in outer Eastern suburb location.

The position will undertake tasks including:

  • Co- facilitate Men’s Behaviour Change group programs with men for the purpose of supporting them to stop using family violence and to develop responsible and respectful relationships.
  • Work in collaboration with a co-facilitator to prepare and deliver session plans, mid-program and exit interviews with men, make phone calls to engage men, and complete other group administration as required. 

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or equivalent area or Graduate Certificate in Family Violence work with practical experience in working with Family Violence.
  • Experience, in working with men who use violence.
  • Group leadership skills and a sound knowledge of violence and abusive behaviours and the impact on family members.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
