Full Time Contract Position, Case Manager – Foster Care

We are seeking someone qualified and experienced to work within our foster care team based at our Dandenong office.   The Case Manager role supports children and young people in care placed with foster carers who provide a safe and stable environment in their home.  The Case Manager works directly with the service user family, caregiver family and the children and young people in placement.  The Case Manager role provides consultation, advice, support, supervision, direction and management regarding the child’s placement to maintain a quality service.

The Position: 

We are seeking someone qualified and experienced to work within our foster care team based at our Dandenong office. The Case Manager role supports children and young people in care placed with foster carers who provide a safe and stable environment in their home. The Case Manager works directly with the service user family, caregiver family and the children and young people in placement. The Case Manager role provides consultation, advice, support, supervision, direction and management regarding the child’s placement to maintain a quality service.

The full time Case Manager role will work alongside a team of Case Managers and other professionals in the delivery of our foster care service.  The position objectives are:

  • To provide children and young people with family based placements that will support their development.
  • To ensure the provision of high quality services to children, young people and their families who are involved in the foster care program.
  • To support foster carers who provide safe and stable placements.  

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Social Work / Psychology or equivalent.
  • To have experience in Case Management.
  • To work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the delivery of our foster care program.
  • To be flexible and adaptable and be able to work outside normal office hours on occasions.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
