We are currently looking for an applicant who identifies as Aboriginal or of Torres Strait Islander background to work with our Navigator program, which is an innovative, research-informed program that assists disengaged learners to re-connect back into education and learning.
The primary aim of this role is to provide case management for young people (12 - 17yrs) who have disconnected from school and alleviate barriers to young people participating in mainstream education and support families to encourage access. A key focus of this role is working with Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Youth and Families. The role works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of a Team Leader, Intake and Assessment Workers, Case managers, Youth Counsellor, a Groups Facilitator and other relevant services, bringing expertise and valuable understanding of Indigenous culture.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
