Who are we looking for?

AnglicareSA has an opportunity for a Legal Officer to assist in preparing the organisation for the Australian Government’s Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic law clerk or recent law graduate who has excellent time management skills and high-level attention to detail with the ability to review documents for relevant issues, compile data and meet strict deadlines.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Conduct document reviews, collate data and identify issues to assist the organisation in preparing for the Royal Commission
  • Prepare evidence and reports as required
  • Support the Royal Commission Lead and provide legal input as required
  • Work alongside other members of the organisation, including other Legal Officers, across the Community Services, Corporate Services teams and the wider organisation
  • Identify, investigate and assess information sought in accordance with the Royal Commission’s terms of reference

What do you need to bring?

  • Qualifications in Law/Legal Studies (or working towards), or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability prepare and maintain records and documents
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Sound computer literacy skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Outstanding attention to detail
