Maintenance and Resident Support Worker - Goulburn

Anglicare NSW
  • A trade's role with a difference!
  • Competitive remuneration: $25 - $28 per hour.
  • Generous salary packaging benefits available.
  • Flexible hours (including part-time, full-time or casual options) so you have more time for the things you love.
  • Additional personal leave and paid parental leave.

So, a little about you

We are looking for a Resident Support Officer to undertake and complete light handyperson tasks within our retirement villages. We know that you can find your way around a hammer or a drill better than anyone else, that's a given. But you are also looking for something more. Something where you can put your sensitive, empathetic and gentle nature at the forefront.

See, while we're looking for someone with hands-on maintenance skills and experience, we're more so looking for a truly unique and passionate individual who will put the safety and wellbeing of our residents at the above everything else. Someone who understands that our residents deserve all the same compassion, dignity, inclusiveness and integrity as their own parent or grandparent. And if you already have experience in interacting with seniors or vulnerable people, all the better!

A bit more about your role

The main objective of your new position will be to undertake and complete light handyperson tasks within assigned timelines, and to advise the Village Manager if/when timelines have not been able to be met, and when a tradesperson is required. However, you are certainly not above helping out with additional tasks when required - in fact, you welcome it! All while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents, this may also look like taking residents to shopping or social outings in the village bus; assisting residents set up for village activities and functions; being the on-site contact person for residents, contractors and visitors during business hours when the Retirement Villages Manager is not on site or available and much more where that came from.

You will truly love this opportunity to do varied, hands-on work, but with a kind, caring difference.
