This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people, and who wants to be part of a team making a real and lasting impact for young people in the Pilbara region. This is a full-time, ongoing role based in Hedland.
headspace, Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, provides vital early intervention mental health services to young people with mild to moderate mental health issues affecting their wellbeing.
Our mission is to improve the mental and social wellbeing of young people by providing services that are welcoming, friendly, supportive and culturally safe. We have delivered the headspace Pilbara outreach service for 3 years and are excited to now expand with two new centres in Karratha and Hedland. As we prepare for this expansion we are looking for amazing people to join our team.

The Service Manager - headspace Hedland will lead, develop, manage & evaluate the operations of the headspace model which delivers high quality services outcomes to young people, their families and community services within the Town of Port Hedland and surrounding areas and the Shire of East Pilbara.
Your passion for leading and developing an amazing team will shine through in all you do. You will provide operational leadership to the Hedland centre staff, as well as outreach teams working in the East Pilbara. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead and headspace Area Manager to develop, implement and monitor programs, procedures and work practices.
You will build deep relationships with consortium partners, stakeholders and the local community. You will work collaboratively with private practitioners, MBS, consortium providers and stakeholders to ensure that any difficulties are identified and resolved to maintain the sustainable and ongoing delivery of their services. You will proactively integrate the use and promotion of telehealth and e-health resources.
You will maintain a focus on ensuring the headspace service is youth-friendly, person-centred and trauma informed. You will quickly become familiar with relevant governance and compliance requirements and will monitor, evaluate and maximise data collection in line with funder and organisational requirements.
You will be able to support the organisation of, and represent headspace, at a range of community events, promotional days and other activities. You will work professionally, be self-motivated and be able to apply cultural awareness and competence as you manage service delivery for Aboriginal young people and their families.
This is a full time (37.5 hours per week),ongoing position and is pivotal in supporting the opening of the headspace Hedland centre.

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year. A Working with Children Check and Western Australian drivers license will also be required.
