About the role:

The role of the Parenting Partnership Coordinator oversees the work of Parenting Connection WA in the Kimberley region. It is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a range of integrated parenting services across the Kimberley region in line with Parenting Connection WA’s business plan, service plans and contracts. It utilises a strengths based community development approach to local communities, with an integrated and person centred approach empowering parents and families. This includes working collaboratively with other local services, stakeholders and networks to meet the parenting needs of local families.

The Parenting Partnership Coordinator also identifies the local needs in relation to parenting services and support and provides leadership and local coordination for the delivery of parenting services for the Kimberley region.

About you:

To achieve success in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human services and/or significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to the position or equivalent knowledge of and experience working with Aboriginal families
  • Demonstrated commitment and experience in strengths based capacity building and community development principles
  • Demonstrated leadership/ networking capability including ability to broker relationships and partnerships and services
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including Aboriginal people and CaLD communities
  • Well connected to and based in the Kimberley region
  • Demonstrated expertise in successful strategic planning and project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Group facilitation and education skills

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Drivers Licence and WA Working with Children Check.

Remuneration:

  • Full time salary starting from $94,666 (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation
  • Generous rent subsidy benefits up to $15,600 per year (pro rata for part time) following a prior application process subject to terms and conditions
  • Additional one week’s annual leave after 12 months of service
  • Generous tax-free salary packaging benefits
