The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.

Anglicare is delivering the new Permanency Support Program - Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC), as part of the significant Out of Home Care reforms in NSW. This is an exciting chance to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for young people who have experienced significant adversity. This is a real opportunity to support young people to heal, thrive and transform their futures.

We are seeking casual Youth Workers who are committed to working with young people and their families, who are passionate about a team approach and committed to supporting young people with complex evolving needs.

This position will provide care services to young people in the Wagga region.

The successful applicants will need to have a minimum Diploma in Youth Work or other relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in OOHC, a variety of life skills and an understanding of the impact on young people of trauma and abuse experiences. The ability to work in culturally safe and sensitive ways with Aboriginal young people, their families and communities are also essential. If you have high energy, a good sense of humour and enjoy challenging but also very rewarding work then we would like to hear from you.

The salary range for this position is $36.83 - $40.01 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus 9.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status.

Applicants must obtain a Working with Children clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW), and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment. Prior to interview, applicants will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument - Safe Select .
