about the role

We are looking for a qualified chef with a commercial cookery certificate to take over our current chef whilst she is on maternity leave! We are a fast-paced and dynamic early childhood school, working in conjunction with an ACT directorate early childhood school. This means you will be responsible for delivering a high quality nutritionally balanced menu that aligns with the ACT canteen nutrition guidelines.

You will be someone with great interpersonal and communication skills and have knowledge in nutritional requirements for children. You will support the development and implementation of a rotating menu for children, ensuring that it is varied to cater to a wide array of allergies and intolerances for children.

You will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commercial Cookery - mandatory
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - mandatory
• A current WWVP card or the ability to obtain one is necessary

The hourly pay rate for this position is $30.55 plus 10% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers paid parental leave.
