The Australian Network on Disability works with 300+ blue chip active members from the private, public and NFP sectors to increase access and inclusion for people with disability as employees and customers.

We are a highly respected and trusted organization, with a great culture. This year we have captured our brand story and we’ll start 2021 by implementing recommendations from our recent marketing and communications review.

We need powerful marketing and communications that create positive attitudes towards people with disability so that we can build a more accessible and inclusive Australia.

You’ll have extensive experience in a similar role. You will be tertiary qualified and have demonstrable commercial and financial acumen. Your strong communication and relationship building skills are essential for this role, as you will be responsible for the messaging and creative communications to diversity and inclusion professionals, executive champions, university students with disability, government policy makers, employees with disability, employee resource groups, universities and key decision makers.

As our strategic and creative Marketing and Communications Manager you will extend our reach and build on our strong brand reputation as a trusted advisor.

You will join our Leadership Team and report directly to the CEO.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, pragmatic, a team player, upholds high integrity, and is results focussed.

This is a key role needing a high level of creativity, energy, and output from a small team. You will also need good judgement and a deep understanding and empathy and respect for people with disability and our members.

You will also be an outstanding people leader who supports others to thrive at work.

Qualities and Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of core and emerging social channels
  • Experience with coordinating campaigns
  • Culturally curious, you are dialled into internet culture, monitoring trends and new forms of expression and integrating into your craft
  • Able to ensure high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines, prioritise tasks and communicate roadblocks
  • Collaborates well, easily, and often
  • Displays good judgement, maturity, and enthusiasm
  • A mix of commercial and not-for-profit experience will be valued.

You are a self-starter but still love to collaborate.
