This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising Acquisition team and provide ongoing campaign support to achieve our ambitious growth plans in 2021 and beyond. This role provides an excellent platform to develop skills and knowledge across the full spectrum of AIA’s fundraising programs.

The Donor Acquisition Associate will assist in acquiring new financial supporters and raising millions of dollars for human rights through digital acquisition campaigns, face to face, telemarketing and direct response television ads. This is an exciting new role which offers an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of fundraising.

As a successful applicant, you will possess excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work to timelines and across competing priorities. High level communication, presentation & interpersonal skills, including written, face to face, telephone, social media, are essential to be successful in this role. Experience in moderating/ supporting the management of social media platforms and fundraising programs, in particular digital/or telemarketing are considered desirable for this position.

This role is responsible for:

  • Assisting the Acquisition team with launching new innovative fundraising projects that aim to diversify the acquisition product offering (including but not limited to Value Exchange and Workplace Giving opportunities)
  • Assisting with building supporter emails and landing pages (reactivation and conversion to regular giving)
  • Moderating and engaging with comments on Facebook ads as required
  • Managing Facebook audiences for Social ads
  • Assisting with developing briefing documents for suppliers
  • Gathering supporter insights through speaking directly with supporters
  • Assisting with sourcing content for Direct Response Television ads and benchmarking against other not for profit campaigns
  • Assisting with facilitating fundraiser training across Australia - in person or virtually (for Face to face fundraising, telephone fundraising and Direct Response Television fundraising)
  • Conducting regular quality assurance on telephone campaigns, for example listening to calls and providing feedback
  • Coordinating the development of a regular mystery shopping program to ensure best practice face to face fundraising

  4. Give an example of a time where you were required to speak directly with key stakeholders/donors/customers to gather insights and/or provide feedback.
  5. Please outline your experience in facilitating presentations.
  6. Please provide an example of a time you showed strong teamwork skills
  7. Please outline any experience you have in working with a CRM?
