This is an exciting opportunity to join our Supporter Engagement Unit as part of our dynamic Data Insights & Analytics team. The Data Insights & Analytics team leads AI Australia’s data management reporting and insights to ensure Amnesty remains Australia’s leading human rights organisation and attracts, engages and retains supporters to maximise the organisation’s human rights impact.

The Data Hygiene Assistant will be responsible for improving the quality of Amnesty International (AI) Australia’s data, predominantly through the deduplication of records in our Supporter Relationship Management (SRM) System. You will use your strong attention to detail and experience with Customer Relationship Management tools, GSuite and Microsoft Office especially Excel to enhance our supporter experience and contribute to Amnesty’s vision. The successful applicant will work closely with our Data Management Senior Analyst to uphold AI Australia’s data integrity and help solidify our human rights impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for undertaking the deduplication process to remove duplicate records from our SRM.
  • Undertakes data hygiene clean up tasks using established processes
  • Provides other data services as required by the organisation, including importing and exporting data as required
  • Supporting the documentation of processes including consistent storage of guides and other support materials.
  • Support the Data Governance Group, and provide input and suggestions to help improve AI Australia’s data governance standards

Ideally you will have:

  • High level communication & interpersonal skills - EI - (written, face to face, telephone, social media)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management tools (experience with BBCRM will be especially welcome)
  • Experience with GSuite and Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence would be desirable
  • Familiarity with human rights issues and social change methods and tactics, including experience of mass mobilisation, activism and organising techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with rights holders

This is a full time contract role until the end of the year with an opportunity for extension. Please note, the successful applicant will be required to work out of normal business hours to perform certain SRM functions depending on their location e.g. 12-8pm (AEDT), 11am-7pm (AEST), 9am-5pm (AWST)
