If you’re passionate about human rights and looking for a role where you can make real social change this is an exciting opportunity to join Amnesty International’s Impact team. Our Impact team delivers campaigns to ensure people’s human rights are protected in Australia and around the world. The Associate Campaigner is responsible for supporting campaign delivery across the Impact team, and advocacy with decision makers, to help win our campaigns.

We’re looking for an experienced campaigner who will help to deliver campaign tactics, campaign support and project support, working closely with the Impact team, AI staff and activists, and other organisations and communities. The Associate Campaigner will develop and launch digital and offline actions using our website and email management platform, schedule communications, maintain administrative systems that support campaigns, and other duties to support the success of Amnesty International Australia’s (AI Australia’s) campaigns.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development, maintenance and management of the flow of project documentation including plans, communications timelines, briefs, information resources, evaluations and organisational reporting
  • Providing updates to staff and supporters on campaign developments
  • Developing offline supporter actions in conjunction with the campaigner, activism and organising teams
  • Working with project leaders on assigned projects to facilitate project team activities, including taking minutes, maintaining files, task tracking and monitoring production timelines
  • Monitoring, reporting and evaluating on smaller groups of project tasks and providing recommendations for greater effectiveness
  • Monitoring and updating AI Australia’s portfolio of AI cases by maintaining files on cases and sourcing latest news
