Action for More Independence and Dignity in Accommodation

AMIDA is an advocacy organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with a disability. We focus one area of our advocacy on housing rights and are engaged in systemic advocacy, self-advocacy support, individual and family advocacy. We also provide broad Appeals advocacy around the NDIS and Advocacy support to disabled people to make submissions to the Disability Royal Commission.

Advocates at AMIDA provide appropriate and timely individual and systemic advocacy to disabled people that addresses instances of abuse, discrimination and neglect and promotes, protects and ensures full and equal enjoyment of human rights enabling community participation by disabled people.

Experienced, skilled, knowledgeable and suitably qualified persons who meet all the Key Selection criteria are sought.

The position is as per the Social and Community Services SCHCADS Level 6, pay point 3, Community Development Worker.

Payment will be at $51.24 and we can negotiate full- or part-time hours

Day and hours of actual work are negotiable.

This is a fixed term position until 30th June 2023 with the possibility of additional work depending on funding.
