The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a national charity protecting children from violence and bullying. Our vision is that every child will live in a safe and supportive environment. The Foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed violence and runs programs which prevent violence in the lives of children. We play an advocacy role and we are a voice against childhood violence.

The role:

Reporting to the Deputy CEO this full time, ongoing role is responsible for delivering the execution of the strategic plan across Children Ahead, Buddy Bags and Cubby House programs that help children recover from traumatic events or violent circumstances.

In this role you would:

  • Lead the development and delivery of strategic and operational plans for Children Ahead, Buddy Bags and Cubby House programs to achieve optimal service delivery.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders to optimise program growth.
  • Lead and work closely with a team of experts across the Foundation to deliver agreed plans.
  • Prepare and deliver on business and operational plans based on available funding.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team.

Experience required:

  • Extensive experience working with children and young people in a complex service delivery environment, including experience with Family Violence and Child Protection systems.
  • Strong experience in managing a team of service delivery staff in child and family services.
  • Experience in developing program evaluation tools, to form strong programmatic evidence base.
  • The ability to work within a commercially- driven not for profit environment whilst providing effective services to children and young people.
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology.
