The role:

Reporting into the Community Partnerships & Campaigns Manager, this three year contract role is based in South Melbourne and responsible for:

  • Coordinating community fundraising activities focusing on individuals and community groups to raise funds, generate and increase support and awareness including schools, third party fundraisers, community groups and local businesses.
  • Providing exceptional supporter care for community fundraisers and community partners, respond to enquiries, and funnel new partnerships opportunities to the appropriate relationship manager for follow up.
  • Coordinating the volunteering program, recruiting volunteers, liaising with our volunteer database and supporting other departments with their volunteer requirements.
  • Assisting with the evolution of the Community Giving program from traditional practices into a boarder program which supports multiple initiatives across Individual and Community Giving.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation, both within existing campaigns and new campaigns, and implement test and learn activities in consultation with the Community Partnerships & Campaign Manager.

Experience required:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in a community fundraising role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and enduring relationships with community members, volunteers and fundraisers, to quickly build rapport, and confidently liaise with people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
  • Excellent administrative skills with ability to understand and process complex tasks and procedures, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously using effective time management and prioritisation skills within a fast-paced environment, while also working autonomously on clearly defined projects, and in a small team.
  • Knowledge of fundraising database systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge).
