About the opportunity

Due to our organisational growth and increase in our client numbers serviced through our Home Care Package (HCP) Program, we are seeking to appoint Personal Care Workers.

Whilst our head office is located in the Inner West (Maidstone); our wrap around services cover all of the Melbourne Metro and Geelong regions. We offer the opportunity for our Personal Care Workers to work close to home, within your local community.

We are currently particularly seeking candidates to work in the following areas:

  • North East: Greensborough, Watsonia, Bundoora, Coburg, Preston, Heidelberg Heights and Thornbury.
  • South East: Dandenong and Roxburgh Park.
  • West: St Albans, Dallas and Taylors Lake.
  • South west: Altona, Hoppers Crossing, Williams Town and Point Cook.

In this role, you'll be working across a range of tasks including:

  • Assisting clients with domestic tasks such as laundry, ironing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, bed linen changes, bath, toilet and shower cleaning
  • Assisting clients with shopping, transport to medical appointments, monitoring consumers safety, medication prompt and assisting with transfers
  • Assisting with personal care, showering, dressing and using the toilet
  • Assisting with meal preparation and cooking
  • Act as a support companion

For this role, a Certificate in Aged Care or Disability Services (III or IV) is required. If you do not have this, we encourage you to review our application as a Home Care Worker and we can assist you with your career development by providing professional training and development opportunities.

You would commence your new role with supports from buddy shifts. With a proud history of providing supports and educational opportunities to migrant communities, an additional language other than English will be a distinct advantage with your application.

To meet the needs of the role we do require you to meet the criteria listed below:

  • Cert III or IV in aged care or disability support
  • Valid drivers licence with access to a registered vehicle with a minimum of third party insurance
  • Smart mobile phone and internet access
  • Demonstrate an empathetic and supportive attitude
  • All applicants must consent to complete a national criminal record check
