ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Coordinator is a brand new position at Amaze, created in response to the expansion of the Operations – Services Team. The largest at Amaze, the Operations – Services team has a diverse portfolio including our national advice line, Autism Connect, Knowledge & Resources, Community Development and IT & Systems support for the whole organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this exciting role will deliver vital project coordination and administrative support to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of the many projects the team have on the go. Furthermore, the Operations Coordinator will take a lead role in coordinating the delivery of training and workshops offered by our Community Development Team to the Autistic community and their families.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Every day will look different for our part-time Operations Coordinator. A master in managing multiple priorities and an expert engager of internal and external stakeholders, key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate project-related activities across the Operations team, including grant-funded projects.
  • Provide end-to-end coordination of online, face-to-face, and/or hybrid training programs. This includes booking venues and catering, coordinating workshop materials, conducting venue sensory assessments (remotely), and providing other support to the training team as needed.
  • Liaise with third parties including casual or consulting staff, trainers, venues, workshop hosts, participants, funding bodies, and others.
  • Support the collation, recording, analysis, and reporting of data across the training and Operations team.

THE *IDEAL CANDIDATE (KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE)

Our ideal candidate is a coordination superstar, with significant experience in project coordination, training coordination, and/or senior administration role. Qualifications in business, human resource management, events management and/or project management are not essential, but would be a valuable bonus.

We need a special type of person to work with us at Amaze, and our Operations Coordinator is no exception. We need someone who:

  • Sets priorities, pays attention to detail, and delivers quality and accurate results that are on time and fit for purpose.
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing, listens carefully and with empathy, and adapts communication to the needs of the audience.
  • Meets and exceeds internal and external customer needs whilst cultivating relationships that secure commitment and trust.
  • Has sound data management skills including the ability to collect, record, analyse and interpret information. For example, collating and reporting participant data for the Early Days program funders.
  • Autistic community focused with either knowledge of, or commitment to, developing respectful communications for autistic people and their families and carers.

EXTRA INFORMATION

Please note, as this position requires work from the Victoria Street, Richmond office, it is a requirement that the successful candidate demonstrate triple-vaccination status.

The successful applicant will also need to complete a successful Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
