Position Summary:

Our Physiotherapist is responsible for the assessment and facilitation of services in all aspects of their daily life, through assessment, intervention and ongoing support to clients and their families. Working closely with our Care and Support Services department, they contribute to improve all aspects of our client’s quality of life.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of physiotherapy services for clients
  • Empower and support clients to advocate for themselves
  • Ensure new referrals are contacted within an appropriate time frame
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements including the recording and reporting of all associated activities

Essential Criteria:

  • BSc (Physiotherapy)
  • AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS
  • Experience working with people living with dementia in a person-centred approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a small multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge and skill in using MS Office suite
  • Working rights in Australia
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • A valid WA ‘C’ class driver’s licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Up-to-date COVID Vaccination

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Experience in Physiotherapy in community care
  2. Knowledge and experience of working with people with dementia in a range of care settings, such as acute, primary, community or residential aged care.
  3. Experience in adapting the home environment to maximise independence

We support CHSP, HCP and NDIS funding by providing home and community support, as well as respite day and overnight in our three (3) homes based in Perth, Mandurah, and Albany.
