The strength of our group is embedded in the independent business decision making of our company boards and leadership, and the ability of each entity to focus on delivering exceptional work for our clients.

Alluvium Consulting

Alluvium Consulting is the original company in the Group. We were founded in 2006 to provide advice to government and private organisations on issues facing our water resources, rivers and catchments.

Our focus is catchments to coasts. We aim to influence the direction of catchment and water management in Australia through our work with federal, state and regional government and private sector clients in the resources and development sectors.

We have made significant contributions to water resources management at national, Murray-Darling Basin, Great Barrier Reef, state and local level, and our expertise and approach is sought out by clients. We believe strongly in listening to community, industry and stakeholders, and we are committed to respect, acknowledgement and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We work hard to differentiate our business and believe it is possible for a commercial organisation to measure its success by things other than profit alone. In order to further our impact, we have recently launched our not-for-profit, the Alluvium Foundation, to advance key issues impacting our industry.

We invest heavily in an enabling culture in order to remove barriers to creativity and encourage people to develop as leaders throughout our business. We consistently achieve client and staff satisfaction ratings well above the norm for the professional services industry and measure these as part of our core business.

Our success is measured by:

Impact of our work on communities and environment - our people are motivated by achieving outcomes

The value we create - for our staff and shareholders

Our culture - we want to both provide opportunities, enjoyment and support to our people

We currently work across offices in Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Townsville, Canberra and Melbourne as well as having smaller presences in Albury, Adelaide, Fiji, New Zealand and India. We share these physical offices with other companies in the Alluvium Group.
