We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our small yet growing team!

Alliance Therapy Services is a community-based mental health and psychosocial disability occupational therapy service. We provide high quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to NDIS participants and outreach within the Melbourne metropolitan area.

We believe in enabling people to be the drivers of their own recovery and understand that quality of life and being as independent as possible are important to the people we work with.

About the role:

Working with the principal Occupational Therapist, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to NDIS participants through community outreach. We work primarily with clients who have a mental health diagnosis, intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder.

Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency)
  • A minimum of 18 months experience working in mental health or within the NDIS system in a similar role
  • Broad experience in and knowledge of mental health occupational therapy assessments and interventions
  • Current drivers’ licence and own vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery model and trauma informed approaches.

Desirable skills:

  • Competency and experience with supervising new graduate OTs and students
  • Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) trained
