Campus Coordinator - Alesco Illawarra Bowral Campus

WEA Illawarra

Are you an exceptional teacher and educational leader who understands that traditional school environments don't always work for all students?

Do you feel you can't make the impact you want with students as part of the "system"?

Can you inspire and constructively support other staff to be their best as they work to meet their students' needs?

Are you an organised, reliable and effective operational manager with awesome communication skills and a knack for getting things done?

If your answer is yes, we'd love you to join our education revolution! Student-centred and student led, within an innovative, flexible, small school environment, where you as a brilliant middle leader can really help your team have an impact on the future of our students.

Alesco Illawarra is an independent Special Assistance School for Years 9-12, registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Based in Wollongong with additional campuses in the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, our purpose is to foster the development of capable, confident and self-assured young people who are connected to their community and able to forge a path to a productive future.

We have a full-time, ongoing middle leadership position available as Coordinator of our Southern Highlands Campus (currently located in Bowral) commencing as soon as possible.

We are excited to launch our new ways of learning at Alesco Illawarra in 2021. Our students will co-create their unique learning journey in our new Architect (Stage 5) and Blueprint (Stage 6) programs, accredited by the international body ASDAN. Students participate in real world learning through a challenge-based curriculum, aligned with NESA key learning areas and outcomes. Students work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates, can also receive micro-credentials for short courses, and produce a portfolio of work that helps them take their next step into further education, training or employment.

We are a purpose-driven organisation. Your values, your skills and your mindset aligned with our purpose will determine your success in this role. You will have educational leadership experience or be in a position to take your next step into a designated leadership role.

Alesco Illawarra operates under the auspices of WEA Illawarra, which is a not-for-profit Community College, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Public Benevolent Institution.
