AIEF was established in 2008 in response to community demand from Indigenous families who choose to enrol their children in boarding schools.
Bringing together the government and private sector, AIEF provides scholarship funding for Indigenous students to complete Year 12 or tertiary studies, with career support and mentoring to help them make a successful transition to employment.
AIEF has grown from one scholarship student in 2008, to now having around 400 students on scholarships annually, with a network of over 600 alumni and growing by over 70 graduates each year, from over 400 communities from every state and territory across Australia.
Reporting to the Pathways Director, the Pathways Manager is responsible for leading the Pathways Team and overseeing the delivery and implementation of the AIEF Pathways Program. The AIEF Pathways Program works with AIEF Scholarship Students and AIEF Alumni to ensure they make a successful transition to further studies and employment after they complete their studies.
The focus is supporting and equipping Pathways Advisors to effectively deliver on the AIEF Pathways Program while working professionally and strategically with internal stakeholders, schools, tertiary institutions, employers, Corporate Partners, mentors, and others as required to achieve the best outcomes for Indigenous students.
