About the Role

Uniting AgeWell (UA) Ningana are seeking a Chaplain with experience in aged-care chaplaincy, to provide spiritual guidance, leadership, and pastoral care to residents and families at UA. This Ministry is one of compassion which demonstrates best practice spiritual care and meets resident and family emotional, spiritual and religious needs.

The Chaplain will seek to enhance the experience of ageing and have the capacity to work with a diverse range of people, providing timely, appropriate, and well documented pastoral interventions to meet each person's specific needs.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Commitment to work within and promote the ethos and values of the Uniting Church.
  • Formal theological qualification/s preferred
  • CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) – minimum 1 unit or an equivalent training and experience in pastoral.
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate spiritual practices and programmes to enhance the well-being of residents and families while meeting UA standards and the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Ability to conduct Worship services within the Uniting Worship 2 framework
  • Ability to appropriately assess and meet the pastoral and spiritual needs of residents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A current flu vaccination
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
