A bit about us:

We’re Raisely! We help charities raise money online. Our platform helps charities build fundraising campaigns, run donation appeals, and nurture their supporters. We make it easy to get started and scale-up, without needing technical help.

We started Raisely because charities have been underserved by technology for too long. We set out to change that, and so far we’ve helped raise over $100m.

We’re a team of 13-turning-20 as we rapidly grow our company (and impact). With your help, we’re hoping to raise $1bn in the next few years and rapidly scale out, supporting charities small and large in countries across the world.

Oh and one more thing. We walk this impact talk. We’re a proud B-corp, and purpose is baked into our constitution. We’re carbon neutral, and we’re starting our anti-racism journey to ensure we’re actively undoing centuries of systemic racism.

A bit about the role:

We’re after a Senior Content Marketer to take the thrifty content marketing we’ve done so far to an entirely new height. As our first marketing role, we’re looking for someone who will own and shape Raisely’s brand and content strategy as we grow all over the world.

In this role you’ll be responsible for developing and executing Raisely’s content marketing strategy, growing our audience, and helping our customers (future and current) become expert digital fundraisers.

You’ll be responsible for our brand awareness, our audience of current and prospective customers, and the top of our sales funnel. Use your full content toolbox – from webinars to white papers, product launches to SEO-optimised landing pages – to empower digital fundraisers in charities over the world.

You’ll need to do this in a way that works internationally, with plans for our target markets. And you’ll need to be data driven, determining the metrics that matter and consistently reporting on them.

At the start we expect you to independently develop strategies and execute brilliantly on them. Down the track, you’ll be well resourced with the ability to hire a team in the future.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Raisely is a remote company.

  • Role: Permanent, full-time (38hrs/week)
  • Location: Remote (we’ll help you set up your home office!)
  • Timezone: We'd like at least 3 hours crossover with Australian east-coast business hours (9am - 5pm AEST)

If you worked here over the past few months, you might have:

  • Developed a clear content marketing strategy to begin to execute and iterate on
  • Prepared a brand strategy to implement as we produce content for international markets
  • Reviewed our website and written improved copy for key pages in-line with the strategy you developed
  • Participated in our week-long virtual retreat, where you learnt how sneaky your teammates can be in Among Us!
  • Established clear conversion funnels and content-driven touch points for Raisely’s diverse audience
  • Written and created launch marketing for a key new feature
  • Organised, promoted and presented webinars with industry experts
  • Created a social media strategy with our marketing exec, and reviewed its implementation.
  • Identified key search opportunities and developed landing pages to harness them
  • Worked with our Customer Success team on some best-practice guides to be turned into blog content for our prospective audience.
  • Established OKRs for yourself (and your team), measured and reported on them regularly.
  • Beat your teammates in trivia while wearing an elf costume.
  • Produced a diverse mix of written and video content across Raisely’s channels to promote audience engagement and Raisely’s brand values.

Now about you....

You’re a master of your craft

You’ve held roles in content production and marketing for 5+ years. You’ve written and produced a wide range of content across different mediums. You’ve developed brand strategies, run SEO programs, and have experience running a content marketing program for a similar organisation. You've managed a marketing team before, and will be comfortable hiring for your own again in the future.

You’re a content person, through and through!

You live and breathe content marketing, brand strategy, search optimisation, and web copy. You’re a great writer and content producer, and you know how to apply a brand strategy to your copy.

You can talk to some wins (and fails), you’ve used data to back up your efforts before, and you’ve used content to create value for your audience before.

You have experience with brand development

You know the ins and outs of a brand strategy, and you’ve developed them before. You know how your brand voice, personality, and brand pillars work with your day-to-day content production. You can measure your strategies, and constantly iterate on them. You have experience doing this for multiple brands.

You love the technology world

You thrive working in tech. You get the SaaS world, and you believe that the possibilities of software are limitless. You especially believe that non-profits are underserved by tech, and that we have a serious but exciting opportunity to help those working for a better world to engage their own supporters online.
But most importantly, you’re on the same wavelength when we talk about lead gen, content marketing, case studies, landing pages, organic search and product marketing.

  • Salary – We try to pay above-average salaries anchored to similar jobs in Sydney, Australia. Depending on experience, this role pays AU$104,000 - $132,000 a year (including super for Australian employees).
  • Healthcare – We will contribute up to US$3000 towards health insurance if you live somewhere without a public health system.
  • Ownership – We are focussed on building Raisely as a team, so we’ll offer you the chance to be a part-owner of the company with our Employee Share Scheme
  • Technology – We’ll get you a laptop and screen when you start, plus help you set up your home office.
  • Retreats – Every 6-ish months we fly you somewhere pretty for our team retreats. (Once we’re able to safely again)
  • Annual Leave – Everyone gets 4 weeks paid leave plus 11 days of public holidays, to be taken when you like. Plus, you are entitled to generous paid sick leave.
  • Work remotely – We’re a remote-first company - live and work wherever you’re happiest. We’ll cover a co-working space if you’d like to work there.
  • Flexibility – Adjust your hours as you need, within the window set above.
  • Training – We’ll support you with time when you want to learn new skills or pay for conference or course tickets.
