Who we are looking for

You will be an exceptional case worker, able to build rapport with Aboriginal clients and their families through the development and active implementation of case plans with realistic and achievable goals. You will work from a strengths based approach with clients to build their capacity to maintain stable housing and achieve education, training and employment outcomes.

Your New Role

The Generalist Case Worker is across several programs, at the direction of Program Coordinators. This position provides intermediate support to Aboriginal clients and their families. This will include intake and assessment, internal and external referrals, provide information to client to meet their immediate support needs e.g. Emergency Relief processing , housing nominations, connecting with Government agencies and other Aboriginal networks.

To be successful you will need

  • A Child Related Employment Screening (CRES) or Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • A Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes) Certificate
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current Drivers Licence

Ideally You Will Also Have

  • Extensive experience in the provision of case works services
  • Demonstrated experience in being able to work with Aboriginal communities and representatives across the Government and NGO sectors
