We focus on strengthening relationships, promoting respect and creating employment and education opportunities for Indigenous people.
AFL SR’s is a National company with around 80 staff and trainees located all across Australia, and a head office based in Melbourne. The South Australian office is located in Adelaide, within the Tennis SA complex, right next door to Adelaide Oval.
You will play an important part in supporting a case load Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program participants well as our host employment partners. You’ll provide mentoring, cultural and employment related support for young people, and play a key role in engaging with local community on behalf of AFL SR. Although primarily based in Adelaide, the role also involves regular travel throughout South Australia, and can involve some over-night trips to more regional areas of the State.
A week in the life of this role could involve visiting your trainees at workplaces, engaging with host employers to check in on progress, completing necessary administration and notes, and undertaking community engagement and promotion activities. It’s a diverse and rewarding role, that would suit an organised, resilient and supportive person.
