About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for Team Leader, Support Coordination to join the Service Delivery Department. You will be reporting to the Central Services Lead.

You will be responsible for leading centralised teams across different aspects of Coordination of Supports to enable teams to deliver exceptional experiences for every customer, every day. Ensure service delivery is performed within Afford Policies and Procedure framework and in line with budget, financial expectations and Delegations of Authority.

The role will develop and maintain productive and effective relationships across Afford and across the sector, utilising these relationships to stay up to date regarding best practice coordination of Supports and continuously improve the customer experience.

You will work closely with Support Coordinators to provide needed leadership and maintain a clear direction and any other direct reports to ensure staff focus on higher quality services to clients and the communities in which they live and we are located.

The role will be based in the Head Office in Minchinbury, 2770.

About you

To thrive in this fast-paced role, you will be highly organised and proactive, must have experience with working in a service delivery environment that builds strong relationships with other roles in head office and in operations, to ensure we are working in partnership to deliver the Vision of Afford.

In addition, you will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading and being accountable for the performance of service delivery teams.
  • At least 3 years of experience with financial management of service delivery teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in disability, social science, social services, or similar.
  • Experience with working in an environment that requires a focus on consumer needs and expectations.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of the disability sector or other community service areas.
  • A strong commitment to customer service and positive outcomes for the clients and the communities in which they live and we are located.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different functions in head office.
  • Strong personal commitment to working in a for purpose organisation.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and client information management systems.
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in team environment
  • Strong personal commitment to working in a for purpose organisation.
  • Knowledge of the disability sector or other community service areas and/or worked in a not for profit.
  • It is also a condition of employment that employees who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination must be fully vaccinated and comply with current COVID-19 booster vaccinations in order to perform duties at any of our workplaces. If you are not medically eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19, you must provide Afford with acceptable evidence of having a health condition for which obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination is contraindicated.
