About the opportunity

We have a Group Home in Nowra. We have a number of opportunities for experienced, compassionate and skilled Lifestyle Assistants to cover a 24/7 roster, with multiple shifts available.

Some of the duties and responsibilities in the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Personal care assistance
  • Transportation to and from numerous community access programs
  • Medication administration
  • Professional handling of challenging behaviours
  • All other support related duties as needed
  • Numerous in house activities such as cooking, arts / crafts, dancing, music to name but a few

About the candidate

As this is a client facing position, it is very important that the successful candidate not only displays the qualities needed for an experienced Lifestyle Assistant, but that they have proven skills and experience in the following:

  • Genuine interest in working with people with a disability
  • Strong administrative skills
  • To be able to follow and implement individual service plans, healthcare and positive behaviour support plans
  • Experience in working with clients who have complex and challenging support needs is essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effective communication skills
  • Previous experience completing daily notes, incident reports, case notes and other administration
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current NSW Drivers License; and
  • A can do attitude!
