About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading providers of innovative disability services. Based in our Minchinbury head office this role will require you to support the business in finding high quality staff that fit our Afford values and culture and ensuring service delivery requirements are met. As the Senior Recruiter, you will have accountability over the following:

  • End to end recruitment management of roles in a fast paced environment
  • Ensuring all compliance and probity checks are completed in line with NDIS requirement
  • Be responsible for attracting and interviewing all potential employees applying for employment across the multiple divisions of Afford, including Client Services, Afford Employment, NDIS, Business Development, ADE’s, Fundraising and Corporate Services
  • Representing Afford externally at various Expos and partnering with organisations to generate candidate flow
  • Work with the HR team to manage and provide data, reports and administration as required
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with the recruitment of specialised salaried positions and looking after temp to permanent part-time conversions of existing staff and the recruitment of seniors LSA’s into site.
  • Assist with all background and probity checks for all potential employees
  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships by providing consistent communication around positions vacant.
  • Provide guidance and support to the recruitment team in absence of the recruitment manager and ensure all compliance activities are checked and completed before they progress to offer.
  • Ensure all Afford WHS policy and procedures are adhered to 

About You

The recruitment team is a critical part of what makes this business a success. As the Senior Recruiter you will need to be passionate, responsive and motivated to support our growing organisation to be able to meet the individual needs of our participants. We will also be looking for you to have:

  • 2 years’ experience in a recruitment role (End-to-End)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic organisation
  • Experience with PageUP an advantage
  • Ability to travel interstate, especially as we expand services across WA and SA
  • Ability to contribute to the overall strategy and success of Afford
