About the opportunity

The CC officer is responsible for the lodgement of all claims on the ES System.

The officer will ensure correctness of documentary evidence prior to the lodgement of a claim. The CCO will work closely with the Team leader and Compliance Coordinator to ensure all claims are lodged within 2 days of becoming available. The CCO will also undertake file audits

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Work closely with the Team Leaders to ensure all claims are lodged in a timely manner
  • Maintain an updated central database of potential claims/due/overdue
  • Provide a report on potential income per site per month
  • Obtain documentary evidence from Team Leader for claims prior to lodgement
  • Ensure all DES claims are processed on time and are compliant with the DES Documentary Evidence Guidelines
  • Provide a weekly report on overdue claims
  • Review all services fees claimed in the last week and assess compliance against fees claimed and work with TLs to ensure documentary evidence are complaint. Revise report and advise management team
  • Consult CCTC (Compliance, Claims and Training Coordinator) with any complex claims
  • Enter special claims with support CCTC
  • Assist the CCTC with collation of evidence for the Quarterly Program Assurance
  • Ensure AFFORD WHS Policy and Procedures are adhered to

About You

This is a pivotal role within Afford and we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and to work effectively under pressure
  • Must be proactive and can work unsupervised
  • Must be computer literate and be able to competently liaise with other networks, employees and services
  • Ability to work as part of a team, strong administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to think outside the square
  • High attention to detail
  • Supervisory experience
  • Previous DES or JSA experience advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, time management and administration skills
  • Certificate IV in Employment Services or equivalent experience
