The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations, a Disabled People’s Organisation and a National Cross-Disability Peak, represents people with disability and their families, and is looking for an experienced Coordinator – Volunteers, Students & interns with relevant skills to fulfil this role.
Reporting to the National Manager-Systemic Advocacy, Insight & Research, the Coordinator will provide high-level support to ensure the development and implementation of the AFDO Volunteers, Students & Interns Strategy Framework (AVSISF). The Coordinator will be responsible for liaising with all AFDO staff & expert advisers to ascertain and map out a database of suitable projects that can be assisted or undertaken by the AVSISF. The database will then be presented to the Senior Management Team, who, working with the Coordinator, will prioritise projects.
The Coordinator will commence a recruitment plan to engage suitable volunteers, students & interns into a pool for use on identified projects. Relevant skills, experience and team fit, will be critical in the selection for any projects. Longer-term, the aim is to provide recruits for projects with AFDO member organisations or provide resources and support to implement a volunteer program successfully.
This is an exciting opportunity to join AFDO as we continue to grow and be an active contributor in extending its impact both nationally and internationally. See more about us at; www.afdo.org.au.
