About the Role

We seek a vibrant and energetic Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our Community and Corporate Relations (CCR) (fundraising) team. The CCR team endeavours to increase awareness of the valuable and innovative research being undertaken at the Baker Institute, and to raise funds that enable the Institute to achieve its mission.

The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of donor, corporate and community events. The role will contribute to the implementation of event marketing plans, specifically digital communications and social media and will also provide administration support to the CCR team.

Key Duties

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Prepare and distribute invitations, set-up and reconcile Eventbrite pages, manage RSVPs and record events and attendance in Salesforce [database].
  • Coordinate venues, caterers, AV and event suppliers.
  • Develop and take ownership of event schedules, run sheets and liaison with event speakers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans, specifically, digital communications, EDM and online promotions.
  • Set up at events including floor plans, seating, promotional material, audio visual equipment and support to presenters as required.
  • Update event budgets and submit supplier invoices for processing, as well as preparing event reports.

Skills and Experience

You will have:

  • Relevant work experience in planning, coordination and delivery of events.
  • Excellent customer service with experience in working with many stakeholders, events management, developing marketing collateral, preparing presentations, improving workflows, using databases and generating data reports.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
