The opportunity.

Your client, hospitalised due to a fall, has been moved to aged care for respite only to find that they’re there permanently, rented unit given up and all possessions sold or destroyed. Your client has been kept in the dark for months while this was happening.

At the client’s direction, you discover how this has happened and who is responsible. You research what can be done and present all options to your clients. They decide what you do next and so you draft the client’s complaint. You assist the client to access legal and mental health supports.

You work for ‘Your Say’ Advocacy Tasmania.

You provide independent, confidential information and options and give a voice to those who are ignored.

And as if that’s not enough, you receive a salary package of nearly $92,000 a year, working under excellent conditions with a similarly motivated team who, like you, support and empower older people, people living with disability or mental illness, or people experiencing issues with drugs or alcohol.
