OUR ORGANISATION

Advocacy for Disability Access and Inclusion (ADAI) is a non-profit organisation funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services to provide individual independent advocacy services to people living with a disability their families and/or primary carers, who live in South Australia, at no cost. ADAI does not provide emergency, crisis or case management services.

The Senior Advocate:

  • Leads, manages and supports a team of NDAP Advocates, providing advocacy for across a range of complex service and rights matters.

  • Enables the efficient and effective provision of advocacy services as well as a range of administrative and reporting activities and requirements in line with NDAP contractual obligations and ADAI’s policies and procedures.

  • Provides individual and self-advocacy services to people with disabilities, their families and primary carers as well as agencies working with people with disabilities

  • Provides information and support to agencies working with people with disabilities and who seek services on behalf of their consumers.

  • Assists clients through mentoring and fostering self-advocacy.
  • Provide Consumer and Community Education relating to the NDAP program across South Australia to organisations, individuals and others seeking information and advice on advocacy including networking with local and regional organisations.
