Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) is looking for an experienced, strategic, innovative and passionate Communications Manager to join our dedicate team. We are a national program funded by the Australian Government to increase the community’s understanding and uptake of advance care planning. We are passionate about creating a health system where person rights and self-determination inform all aspects of quality care, particularly end-of-life care.

ACPA is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers national advance care planning policy advocacy, advice to governments, communications including an annual National ACP Week campaign, a national phone support service, ACPA Learning hub, and quality improvement resources. Our audiences include consumers, the health and aged care workforce, service providers, peak bodies, and governments. This rewarding position was last available in 2017.

To strategically manage the delivery of the Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) national communications, marketing, media activities, and communication resources.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Work in collaboration with the ACPA Program Director, ACPA Communications Coordinator and broader ACPA team to deliver activities within the ACPA work plan
  • To deliver strategic communications, social media, digital, brand and event expertise to continue engagement of national audiences, promote ACPA services, and raise the profile of ACPA
  • To manage and oversight the www.advancecareplanning.org.au website, social media, electronic direct mail, CRM software, brand coordination, event promotion, and advertising
  • To manage the ACPA Communications Coordinator and communications contractors.
  • To deliver growth and excellence in national consumer, health and aged care workforce, and service provider engagement, partnership, and utilisation of communications activities.
  • To work collaboratively within the ACPA team and across the broader ACPA team.
