ADSSI Limited is a growing and progressive community aged and disability care organisation operating on the Central Coast and in the Hunter and Northern Sydney Regions. The retirement of a long-term Director and Treasurer necessitates the recruitment of an experienced Non-Executive Director with strong financial skills. The option of payment for time/expenses incurred in preparing for and attending Board meetings is available.

ADSSI Limited trades as Adssi In-home Support, Maitland Community Care Services and Beresfield Community Care. We are a $20 million not for profit organisation that provides practical in-home support that promotes choice, lifestyle and independence. Our primary purpose and passion is to make a difference in the lives of people in our community, particularly the frail aged, people living with disabilities and dementia, their carers, and others who may be disadvantaged.

About the role

The role will require you to work with the Board and possibly relevant Subcommittees, to manage financial and business risk, and contribute to meeting the strategic, regulatory and governance challenges faced by ADSSI Limited. The Board meets in the evening on the last Tuesday of each month currently via Zoom, and when possible at our head office at Tuggerah on the Central Coast of NSW.

Our selection criteria focus on the following experience and qualities in a Non-Executive Director – future Treasurer position;

  • CA/CPA/IPA qualification
  • 2-5 years of in-depth data analysis including balance sheet and cash flow, financial interpretation and reporting experience
  • Solid understanding and experience in strategic financial and trend analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive and positive attitude
  • Governance experience with a medium/large not-for-profit organisation
  • A deep understanding of the role of Non-Executive Directors
  • A demonstrable passion for innovation
  • A strong alignment with ADSSI Limited’s Vision, Purpose and Values
  • Experience working in aged or disability care would be highly regarded
