Adelaide PHN is seeking a motivated health professional with experience in the Primary Mental Health sector to join our team as our Head to Health Project Manager.

The Role

The new Head to Health Project Manager is a key leadership role within our Mental Health and AOD Team and will support the establishment, ongoing development, and implementation of the Head to Health model as a platform for mental health system navigation, including phone line, Hub/s and website that are integrated with PHN commissioned and other primary care services in South Australia.

The Head to Health Project Manager will:

  • Project manage all aspects of the implementation of this new integrated model of care for mental health services delivered by the Adelaide PHN, by utilising appropriate project management methodologies;
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring appropriate consultation, change management and integration occur;
  • Support the development of key procedural and project documentation, including program guidance materials;
  • Coordinate and lead knowledge management activities with a focus on best practice within mental health service delivery;
  • Coordinate effective procurement of services, covering technical capability, reporting procedures and quality mechanisms.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Mental Health and AOD, initially the role will work closely with the CRU Operations Manager to implement the Head to Health National Phone Line.

About You

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related area and/or extensive experience in health-related project management and delivery;
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully project managing multi-stakeholder projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and develop robust implementation and project plans, with a sound understanding of project management methodologies;
  • An understanding of the Australian primary health care system, including understanding of patient care approaches such as stepped care mental health service delivery;
  • Experience working in clinical and or/ psychosocial mental healthcare delivery (desirable);
  • Demonstrated leadership skills;
  • The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry stakeholders in and across the region;
  • To be a great communicator who enjoys supporting others while working in a busy, results focused team environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and agendas while achieving key milestones and timelines;
  • To demonstrate your ability to support and develop strategic and operational planning through established governance processes and translate strategic objectives to regional projects goals and activities.

You may have had experience in previous roles in the primary health sector such as: Mental Health Lead, Project Manager, Service Manager, Implementation Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Lead.
