About the Position
We are looking to welcome an Engagement and Referral Practitioner to provide active engagement and referral support to vulnerable families where there are child protection concerns.
- Full time position.
- Level 4 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $85,127 - $91,588+ Super.
- Government funded until 31 December 2026 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make appropriate referrals for client families to meet their identified needs.
- Maintain a case load of client families and provide short term intervention.
- Discuss child protection concerns and complete necessary safety planning with families and children.

About You
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
- At least 2 years’ experience working within the child protection framework.
- Ability to identify family and individual client needs using a child-centred approach.
- A high level of engagement skills including experience in engaging with non-consenting clients in a respectful and non-threatening manner.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
